This scenic course’s front nine is spacious and features velvety smooth greens, while its back nine is tight. The overall terrain is flat, and the fairways are tree lined because the course is located in a wooded area. In addition, water hazards come into play on a few holes, so shot accuracy is important.

This championship-style eighteen hole course is very challenging. Every tee box and green is elevated. There are elevation changes of up to 100 feet. Signature hole is the #5, a 166-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a medium- sized green. Golf carts are mandatory and included in the greens fees.

Green Briar features exceptionally large, multiple tee boxes and carpet-like greens. The front nine features water coming into play on several holes, so getting off to a good start is really a challenge. Over 102,000 square feet of greens are available, so expect some mighty lengthy putts at times.

The latest addition to the West Branch collection of great golf is The Nightmare. The Nightmare is a sister course to The Dream and the creators of both courses have created a championship golf venue. If you enjoyed playing The Dream, then playing The Nightmare in 2004 is a must.
